August 23 Parent Information.

Good afternoon War Eagle Family,
Here are this week’s important announcements.
First, we want to thank you for your patience and flexibility as we head into our 2nd full week of school in
the hybrid phase.
This Thursday, August 28, we will hold a virtual open house between 5:00-7:00 pm since we will not be
able to hold our typical “in person” open house this year. Tomorrow, you will receive emails from all of
your child’s teachers containing a short video introduction and a link to join a TEAMS meeting this
Thursday, August 28 between the hours of 5:00-7:00 pm. During these hours, you can interact with your
child’s teachers and ask any questions you may have about their classes.
If you have not updated your contact information by completing an updated student information card,
you can do that online through the Skyward Parent Portal.
Tomorrow and Tuesday we look forward to seeing our A-K students in person.
On Wednesday, all students A-Z will log in from home, and of course, on Thursday and Friday, we will
welcome our L-Z students back in the building.
Parents, during the hybrid phase, your child is expected to be in the building during their assigned days.
They should not just decide to stay home and log in to their classes unless they are sick.
To our full time virtual learners, your contract states that you are expected to log in to your classes at
the assigned time each day. These will count as unexcused absences unless you communicate to your
teacher or the school via email or a phone call that you are unable to log in to Schoology.
Parents, if you decide that your child needs to switch from full time virtual learning to traditional, you
will need to contact an administrator by phone or email to make plans for them to re-enter the building.
Teachers need time to prepare and create new seating charts before a student arrives in their class
unexpectedly.
Finally, because our maximum capacity at football games is limited to 1012 spectators, we are offering
online ticket sales this year so fans can secure a ticket. The cost per ticket is $8 plus a $1 service charge.
A limited number of tickets will be available for purchase at the gate. You can purchase tickets online
through the gofan app at https://gofan.co/app/school/TN8698. The web site can be found on our
facebook page or school web site.
